# Update Events

This page allows you to change the individual event (race) information. You can change the event cost, session (please define these first using the [Update Sessions](/gala-organiser-user-guide/meets-menu/meet-list/update-sessions-and-warm-up-lanes.md) page) and whether it is still open for entries – this is useful if a particular event is oversubscribed and you need to stop entries for this event, but keep the rest of the meet open for entries.

Click the **Update Events** button after making any changes.

If you wish to create split age group events for this meet, then click the **Create Split Events** button, where these can be defined on the [Update Split Events](/gala-organiser-user-guide/meets-menu/meet-list/update-split-events.md) page
